Rev. Tija Hilton-Phillips

Rev. Tija Hilton-Phillips is President of the UMC National Board, Chair of the UMC Governance, Risk and Compliance Committee, and Co-Chair of the UMC Education Committee. She has been a member of Lancaster Metaphysical Chapel in Lancaster PA for many years and serves as an Associate Minister, homilist, and liturgist. Trustee and Treasurer. She is also the Vice Chair of the Linden Hall School for Girls Board of Trustees in Lititz, PA, and serves as the Chair of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force. She is also an attorney and the Director of Regulatory Affairs for a regional health insurance company. She holds a BA in English from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and a Juris Doctorate from The Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, PA. She is an ordained Interfaith Minister and an ordained UMC minister. She is married and has two adult children, two dogs, and a blue and gold macaw.
